I'm opposed to state funding for plastic surgery to treat psychological issues, but these are not a major driver of costs. Treating the illnesses engendered (a pun) by our toxic food/beverage products, environment and information/persuasion tsunami is expensive and futile. Do they even do prostate exams anymore? My last check up was with a female doctor and she passed.

Something else that adds to medical costs that people don't even realize are the insane laws that demand physicians do certain things/perform certain tests/treatments. For instance (and I can't believe people don't demand this be changed) in a state that my business provides service to Medicaid Recipients (state run "health insurance" paid for by people's stolen tax dollars) in, it is *the law* that if a Man thinks he's a woman and comes in the office with a dress and makeup and demands he get a PAP test (a test for cervical cancer in women...) the physician MUST perform this test. The physician could go to jail if they don't play along with the insanity and pretend like the biological man has a cervix. And it's the same in reverse: If a woman who thinks they are a man goes into the office dressed as a man and demands a Prostate exam (um... biological women do NOT have a prostate) the physician, again, must play along with the mental illness and shove their finger into this woman's butt to test for an enlarged prostate which, again, she does not have. These are just two of the tests that a physician under penalty of prison, fines, and losing their license to practice *must* perform. This is becoming common place and wastes an incredible amount of time and resources that could be spent providing real care to someone else. All of this kind of crap adds to the costs of "health care".
