In this case a bulghar wheat salad. I've moved to gluten free bread a few months ago so it was probably a little silly to think that I could have the salad.
I provided the restaurant with a solid 20 minutes of entertainment. Ambulance was called, didn't turn up, and then finally cancelled when a smidgeon of water dislodged the bulghar wheat.
Still recovering. Can still feel a bit of constriction in throat but it's mostly gone. But this time it affected me as far as shock goes. That hasn't happened to me before normally a glass of water has dislodged whatever was there, this time the glass of water came back up.
I've just confirmed that I'm allergic to wheat. It wasn't a very pleasant experience.
Who does the cooking at your place?
Dinner probably not a problem.
I wonder what triggers these allergies.
We were out. It's definitely wheat.

Glad that you never ended up in the hospital.
What a fright!
Yeah wasn't what I wanted to be doing that's for sure.

As for who cooks. Me about 70% (or more) of the time.
I have yet to figure out how to bake gluten free bread. My efforts so far have been very solid. Which is expensive as the flour is not cheap.
